Stage 03.01

Take each of your four (4) final plates from stage 01, and develop a 2-dimensional diagram for each using only points and lines. These new diagrams should be completed in either Illustrator or InDesign using the stage 01 final plate jpeg's as a background.

The first file submitted should be the newly created Point Line Diagram layered on top of the stage 01 final plate jpeg. The final plate jpeg from stage 01 should be set to 50% opacity, with your points and lines of sufficient lineweight and clarity that they stand out when placed above the original diagram. The second file submitted should include only the newly created Point Line Diagram.

For the third file, convert the Point Line Diagrams into a series of templates for use in developing your study model bases. To do this, start by placing a 4"x8" rectangle on the template which will act as the base outline. You should move this outline, rotating as necessary until you have defined a placement with a sufficient amount of inherent variety within the area. Then you will place 1/16" holes every 1/4" on center along the diagrammed lines, and 1/16" holes for each diagrammed point. Hole patterns should be generated from intersection points along the diagrammed lines when possible.

Each file should be submitted as a horizontally oriented jpeg measuring 3200x2000 pixels.

Files should be downloaded to your archlab folder by 8:30 AM next class, and named as follows:
