Stage 03.06

Within your 2 zone study, define a large social space. As you define this, think about what it means for a space to be social, and try to relate this to your real life experiences. Ask yourself a series of questions when doing this, and write them down within your sketchbooks.

Once you have defined the social space, export a hidden line isometric from your digital model into Illustrator or InDesign with the space identified using black fill set to 25% opacity. This fill layer should be set below any line work which occurs. See the example to follow prior to submissions. Submit your file as a horizontally oriented jpeg measuring 3200x2000 pixels.

Next, isolate your social space and export a hidden line isometric from your digital model as shown in the example to follow. This could potentially be completed within a copy of the file mentioned above. Submit your file as a horizontally oriented jpeg measuring 3200x2000 pixels.

Repeat the process for both a semi-private linkage space, and an intimate space. It is up to you to determine the order in which you pick the last two spaces, so try experimenting with multiple choices and options before arriving at your final choice. Consult one another while in studio, and see what your studio mates think of your choices.

The files should be downloaded to your archlab folder by 8:30 AM Friday, and named as follows:
